Anthony has been writing poetry for over 10 years, but it wasn't until April 2005 that he began to take it seriously.  He has had many single poems published in various anthologies and magazines, to which he is very grateful.  The interest in his poetry has been growing steadily since; this is the reason why Anthony has published his first collection of poetry 'Reveille of Rhyme'.  He hopes the reader will gain as much pleasure from reading this book as he has in writing its contents.

Reveille of Rhyme is a collection of poetry which focuses on various aspects of life. Any lover of poetry will soon be drawn into the poet's unique world.

What a fantastic book! Highly recommended!

Reveille of Rhyme lets us peep into Anthony Hayward's world. It makes me think, smile and even have the odd tear. Most of all, it has touched a long dormant need that we all have, 'to know that we are part of the wonderful and diverse human race'.

Thank you Anthony, and please keep writing.

"Read 'Reveille of Rhyme' and it will awaken in you tears and laughter. Anthony Hayward has a gift of transporting us into a life of love, pain, beauty and fun. His poetry can be read silently but their rhythm can be appreciated much more by reading aloud.

Anthony's poems are beautifully complimented by the evocative simplicity of Annalisa Rosaria's illustrations.

More please!!"

Mary Paterson - Bourne Valley.

I thoroughly enjoyed Anthony's collection of poetry; I found his observations well expressed and quite provoking.

 Derrick Clarke - Essex

A beautifully written and truly inspiring read, Anthony writes in a way that caters for all emotions. Whether you're feeling down or up for a laugh, this book will have you stuck in a reading trance within its pages.
